Animals Count active at World Day for Animals in Laboratories

Speech by Andrew KnightThe World Day for Animals in Laboratories attracted thousands of campaigners yesterday in Hyde Park, London, where everyone gathered before the march. Animals Count President, veterinarian and scientist, Andrew Knight, and active member Richard Deboo delivered excellent speeches on the lack of scientific utility of animals for advancing human health care and Animals Count's policies, respectively, before and after the march.

EastEnders actor Nicholas Ball kicks off Animals Count's EU election campaign

Jasmijn and Nicholas BallEastEnders actor Nicholas Ball backed Animals Count's EU election campaign yesterday during its successful launch in the Royal Horticultural Halls in London. For the first time in UK history, a political party primarily dedicated to protecting the interests of animals will contest the European Parliament elections, in the Eastern region. The EU elections will take place on 4th June. Animals Count hopes to end farming with poor welfare consequences, long distance animal transport, all hunting for sport, and introduce an EU-wide subsidised basic animal health care system.

Animals Count will launch EU election campaign during Incredible Veggie Show

rabbit used for testing chemicalsAnimals Count is picking up steam in the EU elections and will officially launch its campaign on 18th April at 5.15pm during the Incredible Veggie Show, at the Royal Horticultural Halls, Greycoat Street, London SW1P 2QD. For the first time in the UK, a party dedicated to animal protection policies that benefit people too, will contest the EU elections. These will be held on 4th June. Join the event to find out more.
